Sometimes you have to travel in snowstorms! Be ready!

Although usually snowstorms mean hunkering down and getting snowed in, sledding and enjoying time with family – sometimes in emergencies, it is necessary to travel. If you have to move during a storm, or are afraid you might get caught in one during your travels, here are items to include in your own emergency kit:

  • Portable cell phone charger.
  • Extra hats, coats, mittens, and blankets.
  • A windshield scraper.
  • A snow shovel.
  • A battery powered radio with extra batteries.

  • Water bottles and packaged snacks.
  • First aid kit and all necessary medications
